Homemade Ginger (Honoria) Recipe

stuff as much sugared crystallized ginger as you can in a bottle. pour vodka over it. wait a month. quite a spicy kick! (Ginger Snap)

variations: after amonth, add enough raspberry vodka to make it pink--serve with ginger ale or seltzer, depending on your sweet tooth (Raspberry Ginger Ale)

or: add a teeny bit of rose syrup, just enough to make it the color or the pickled ginger that comes with an order of sushi. bottle with thin-sliced ginger-root (Tokyo Rose)

1 quart = 32 ounces = 944ml
1 tbsp (tablespoon) = 1/2 ounce = 15ml
1 fifth = 25.6 ounces = 750ml
1 tsp (teaspoon) = 1/6 ounce = 5ml
1 pint = 16 ounces = 472ml
