From a correspondent:
Hi, I appreciate the liqueur recipes and i plan on trying a simple berry liqueur. I have recently returned from europe were i was stationed as a service man for three years. I had a few friends in Germany that made there own liqueur also, here is there recipe:
They would take a wine bottle and start at the bottom, add about 1 inch of rock sugar, then 1 inch of berrys, then 1 inch of sugar then 1 inch of berrys, repeat until bottle is full then add your schnapps seal the bottle and let set for about 4 to 6 months turning the bottle monthly. if needed they would strain as they served. Usually it made a very sweet but tasty liquer.
