Fairy is the trademark stamped on a number of "Famous..." and "World Famous..." decks, packaged in gold boxes. I have a substantially similar deck (Famous Views of Hong Kong) stamped "Prince", but I assume it's from the same manufacturer. They all say, simply, "Made in China."

An authentic, hand-made set of wooden plates, made over a decade, and based on a real period deck shown in the book Playing Cards: History and Secrets of the Pack by W. Gurney Benham are the basis of this deck. Full Deck Imagery has only the one deck to offer, but it's well worth the expense. Truly hand-made cards are very rare.

As avid collectors of antique games and ephemera, Gianna Majzler and Darren Calkins have a deep admiration for the artistry and creativity that went into these paper gems from past centuries. It is only natural that they turn this passion into a business venture.
